How to play
The maze is on the right page. The left page is a second layer with holes in it, drawn mirrored. Walk your crane to the gold moon.
Close the phone to fold: the left page lands on the maze. Its paths bridge the holes below, and whoever is under the paper is pinned. Open the phone to unfold: whoever stands on the paper is lifted with it, and walks on it, seen through the page, until the next fold.
Swipe to move: each swipe is one step, one square. Tap your crane to wait a turn while everyone else moves, or, on a windmill, to turn it a quarter. You can wait as often as you like.
An arrow carries whoever steps onto it on to the next square, in the same turn. No one can step onto an arrow against it.
In the first levels, a paper slip hangs under the red strip and shows the next move.
Folding without a hinge
On other iPhones and on iPad, the two pages open side by side, in landscape. Tap the fold mark at the bottom right, beside the book, or pinch with two fingers, to fold and unfold. On iPhone Duo the pinch works too, and every level can be finished this way.
Seeing where the page lands
Half-close the phone to see a faint picture of the left page on the maze. On other iPhones and on iPad, tap the peek mark above the fold mark, and tap it again to hide it. It costs no turn, and you can turn it off in Settings.
Reset, and getting caught
There is no undo: a fold can't be taken back. Reset, in the menu on the red strip, restarts the level. If a cat or the fox catches you, or a floor drops you into a hole, the game is over and Retry restarts the level. There are no lives and no timers.
Sound
Orisuji follows your phone's silent mode. To hear it in silent mode, press a volume button while you play: the sound stays on until you quit the app.
Par and the hanko
Each level has a par: the fewest actions it can be solved in, counting steps, folds, unfolds, waits and turns. Finish in par to earn the hanko.
Progress
Progress is saved on your device and synced through iCloud when iCloud is on, so it follows you to your other devices. Achievements go to Game Center. Both belong to your Apple account; we don't see them.
